Prostatitis

Chronic Prostatitis is a condition that occurs in men with an associated cloud of symptoms ranging from low back pain, perineal pain, scrotal or testicle pain, and low abdominal pain to voiding problems of urgency to void, painful voiding, painful ejaculation, impotency, frequent day voiding and disruptive voiding at night. Prostatitis is usually not associated with a known bacterial infection and, therefore, antibiotics often do not improve the symptoms. The symptoms of Prostatitis likely take origin from the urinary bladder and actually interstitial cystitis (IC) should be considered as the working diagnosis. If you have chronic Prostatitis, ask your doctor if you might have IC or visit the web site at www.ichelp.org.  Also review the bladder tab in my web site.
